We are thrilled to invite you to the Wet Tropics Restoration Alliance Annual Event.

  • Current research – NESP and others (Dr Susan Laurance, James Cook University)

  • Drone surveying, virtual reality and SMART management systems for monitoring restoration outcomes ( Barney Swan & Jack Lever, ClimateForce)

  • Cassowary Credits update (Bronwyn Robertson, Terrain)

  • Opportunities to integrate Grazing Land Management with Ecosystem Services in the Wet Tropics (Andrew Yates, Verterra Ecological Engineering)

  • The real challenges of revegetating at scale on the Atherton Tablelands (Geoff Onus, North Queensland Land Management Services)

  • Priority restoration planning - the process and purpose of priority places and expert panel contributions (Terrain & WTMA)

  • Getting to know our members: An informal session for members to introduce themselves, share their work and seek any support or opportunities for collaborations.

  • A Restoration Alliance update: Hear from the Interim Steering Group about plans for the Alliance's future structure and provide your input on the proposed 2025 workplan.

 

This event welcomes all Alliance members, as well as organisations and individuals dedicated to ensuring the survival of the Wet Tropics region. We encourage participation from Traditional Custodians, landscape restoration practitioners, research organisations, conservation groups and investors.
