A guide has been produced in NSW to assist natural resource managers to incorporate the inherent uncertainties associated with climate change when planning revegetation activities. Many restoration and revegetation practitioners recognise that changes to current practices are needed based on understanding habitat conditions expected in the future, rather than the historical baseline of the past.

The information in the Guide is based on the premise that survival and resilience will be enhanced for species and local populations with large, genetically diverse populations. Step-by-step instructions are provided on where to find climate projections and how to use on-line tools to gauge if existing vegetation (species and local populations) are likely to be sustained as the climate changes.
