Late May/Early June 2025: Nursery Workshop (location TBC)

A collaborative workshop focused on nursery production processes. We’ll share knowledge, identify information gaps, and explore opportunities to work together to ensure seedling production and supply are not limiting factors in scaling up revegetation efforts across the Wet Tropics region. More details to come.

Thursday, 24 July 2025: Workshop (Mossman) & Field Trips (Forest Creek and Surrounds)

In partnership with the Gondwana Rainforest Trust (GRT), this half-day workshop will focus on GRT restoration methods being used on sites, including targeted revegetation and assisted natural regeneration, among others. After the workshop, we’ll board buses to visit their Forest Creek property and other nearby sites. More details to come.

11 September 2025: Wetlands Workshop (Cairns) & Field Trips (Cattana Wetlands & Dunn Rd)

In partnership with Cairns Regional Council’s Green Space Our Place and Cairns Airport, this workshop will explore wetland restoration, with field trips to Cattana Wetlands and Dunn Rd. More details to come.

27 November 2025: Wet Tropics Restoration Alliance Annual Event

Held at JCU Cairns Institute’s Lecture Theatre. The theme is yet to be confirmed, but we promise a full program. Our Alliance members and supporters are a wonderful group to spend the day with, so be sure to lock this date in your diaries. More details to come.
